APC Audit Tax Advisory Ltd is a boutique Tax, Audit and Business Advisory organization which has evolved into a successful firm by offering focused, specialized services to its niche sectors.

 

As a leading local firm with over two decades of experience, APC offers tax, audit and business consultancy to an international clientele, providing high quality support to international cross border businesses.  Our size allows us to be flexible and most of all, it allows us to humanize financial and tax services to the point where we become friends with our clients.  Guided by our core values of competence, integrity, respect and value, at APC we operate with the fundamental philosophy that every client deserves exceptional, timely service from our knowledgeable professionals.

 

APC adheres to the strict quality control measures and high professional standards of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC).  In addition, our professional team members individually belong to other accountancy boards such as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and they adhere to the professional standards of the respective boards.

Our Management Team

Athena P. Constantinou

Managing Director

 

Our senior leadership team is headed by our Managing Director, Athena P. Constantinou who is also heading the firm’s Sports, Entertainment and Fashion division. Mrs. Constantinou holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration, with specialization in Accounting and Business Law, from the Bernard M. Baruch School of Business of the City University of New York. She also holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Computer Information Systems from the Bernard M. Baruch School of Business of the City University of New York. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of New York and she is an International Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She also holds a Chartered Global Management Accountant certification, she is a Certified Financial Education Instructor accredited by the National Financial Educators Council in the U.S and she is a member of the Sports Financial Advisers Association, the British Association for Sports and Law, the International Tax Planners Association and the International Wealth Planners Association. She is also an associate member of the Sports Lawyers Association.

 

Mrs. Constantinou has had considerable professional experience on an international level in the fields of tax and business consulting, advising high net worth individuals and entities in the sports, entertainment and fashion industries for more than 30 years. She has practiced as a CPA for a number of years in New York City with in depth involvement in international tax planning and business consulting. Her professional career revolves around the international aspects of taxation and consulting especially in the sports, entertainment and fashion industries. She is also heavily involved in providing advice in connection with tax structuring, development, valuation, commercialization and management of image rights of athletes and entertainers worldwide.

Ioakim E. Thrasyvoulou

Director 

 

Ioakim Thrasyvoulou is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus with a license to practice and a member of the International Tax Planning Association.

 

Mr. Thrasyvoulou commenced his career as an audit/accounting associate and he then joined the VAT department of PWC Cyprus, where he specialized in the provision of VAT advisory services to a number of multinational companies and some of the largest local companies, including companies engaged in the Financial Services (FS), Intellectual Property (IP) and International Trading sector.

 

Mr. Thrasyvoulou is a member of the Board of Directors at APC and he is heading the Healthcare Consulting services division of the firm, which services hospitals, healthcare professionals and healthcare investors.

Lazaros G. Ioannou

Director

 

Lazaros Ioannou holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration, with specialization in Management and Marketing from the University of Cyprus and a Bachelor of Law Degree (LLB) from the University of Nicosia. Additionally, Mr. Ioannou is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist by ACAMS and holds the Advanced Certificate from The Cyprus Stock Exchange Committee (CySEC). Mr. Ioannou has extensive experience in the compliance services sector, having served this sector for seven years from various positions.

Mr. Ioannou is currently holding the position of the Director of Advisory Services of our firm and he is responsible for the recognition and establishment of new markets, services and business opportunities, oversees the implementation of our firm strategic plan and collaborates with all the departments and groups of our firm for the provision of services to existing and new clients. Mr. Ioannou is personally in touch with our clientele with an in-depth involvement in assessing and addressing their changing business needs.

Elena C. Papaioakim

Manager

Elena Papaioakim holds a Bachelor of Law Degree (LLB) from the University of Leicester and a Master’s Degree in Employment Law (LLM) from the Nottingham Trent University. She is also a member of the Cyprus Bar Association and holds the AML Certificate issued by CySEC.

 

Mrs. Papaioakim has extensive experience in the Regulatory and AML Compliance sector and she is manager of the Compliance Services division of the firm, which services the Regulatory and AML Compliance needs of financial institutions, investment firms and other obliged entities.

Achilleas C.Zapounis

Senior Manager

Achilleas Zapounis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Bath. Additionally, Mr. Zapounis is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). 

 

Mr. Zapounis obtained his professional qualification in the Audit Practice of a Big-4 firm in London. There, he led various audit assignments, specializing in the non-life insurance sector. Following his qualification, he moved to the Transaction Advisory Practice of a Big-4 firm in Nicosia, where he was primarily involved in Valuations and Business Modelling. He currently holds the position of Senior Manager in the Business Consulting department in APC and possesses significant knowledge in business valuations and sell-side advisory services. He has also led the performance of feasibility studies, business plan reviews and fairness opinions for companies, both local and global, operating across multitude of industries. Mr. Zapounis holds the position of Senior Manager of our Advisory Services division.
